The Modesto Symphony Orchestra is infinitely grateful to have a wonderful group of music lovers of all ages from our community who give their time and support to help make so much of what we do possible. Volunteer today to enrich our community through live orchestral music and music education!
Opportunities are available year-round, but especially for Picnic at the Pops and Holiday Candlelight Concerts.
Ways to Volunteer:

Our Patron Experience Team are a group of energetic, highly motivated, customer service-oriented individuals for performances and events. They help support our Front of House staff by creating a welcoming environment, answering general questions, directing guests as needed, and upholding our standards for a positive performance experience. Other duties may include selling scrip tickets, assisting with Will Call.

Our Venue Experience Team help our Front of House staff create a welcoming and inviting space for our concerts and events. They assist with setting up and breaking down our non-GCA venue spaces, including setting up tables, chairs, tents, and signage. The assigned tasks may include being outdoors and more physical oriented tasks.

Our Production & Hospitality team help create an efficient and organized environment so our musicians and guest artists are able to perform at the highest caliber. The Production & Hospitality volunteers may assist with decorating the stages for holiday concerts, backstage check-ins, providing rehearsal snacks for orchestra, music archiving and copying, guest artist transportation, and providing homestays for musicians.

Our Office Administration volunteers help our administrative team run smoothly and efficiently. They may assist with mailing campaigns, poster distribution, archiving and filing, and other clerical assistance in the office.
Commitment
Volunteers may be scheduled shifts depending on the assignment and needs. Some assignments will involve being outdoors, physical tasks, and standing for long periods of time.
